k8track
I finally just tracked down and bought an Intellivision Flashback in the wild. I am really happy. The fire buttons on the controllers are just heavenly. I am really looking forward to using them with my Sears Super Video Arcade. Are the adapter cables with the DB9 pin plugs currently available? I am extremely keen on ordering a pair. Hope to get some soon, thanks!

For now, I'm relying on the Long Play controllers and some from Retrogameboyz that are digital (fine for most games) or I should say 8-way with 4 switches instead of the 8 switches (I think) in the real ones. I'd still love to see these adapters become a reality though! Edited September 5 by Hastor

I make two flavors. ones that are better for the INTV II and the ones below.. because of the deeper recess of the INTV II joysticks the compact adapters won't socket well.. $20 (shipping incl) for the compact adapters pair.. $30 for either the compact + extension cables or for a pair of the single extension cable ones. more expensive on etsy/ebay because of fees.
Hastor
Yeah I hadn't heard of anything new happening. I subscribe to this thread but missed any news it appears. I don't have the Sears one, I have the INTV II myself (a couple of them, and a I, but I play on an RGB modded II mainly). Do you expect to have those for the II in stock again? k8track
8bitwidgets.com, is what you are describing adapter cables that allow you to use Intellivision Flashback controllers on a Sears Super Video Arcade system? The same exact function as the ones described in the beginning of this thread? If so, I would be interested in a pair!
k8track
Hey, 8bitwidgets, I found your ebay auction for these adapters and just purchased a pair. Looking forward to getting them!

Thanks for the heads-up, I found it as well. It says Sears or INTV II. Based on the wording above I was thinking they were two different adapters, but sounds like it should be fine for my INTV II. I got the ones that are also extension cables.

Yep I have them available. 10 hours ago, Hastor said: Yeah I hadn't heard of anything new happening. Yea I only made mine in response to the others being out of stock.. made some for myself and figured i'd make them available to others if anyone was looking for the same solution. I also make INTV to Flashback / Ultimate flashback adapters as well for folks who want to say, use their longplay on a flashback or an OG controller with the FB systems. 10 hours ago, k8track said: The same exact function as the ones described in the beginning of this thread? I saw your order. I'll get started on those tonight! I'm down one printer right now so I'm a little bottlenecked.. currently cranking out the new parts for a new batch of Long Play controllers.. 7 hours ago, Hastor said: Based on the wording above I was thinking they were two different adapters yea I'll have to review that to avoid confusion.. seeing there are three different products that do some kind of "controller to system" conversion.. two are the same functionally.. compact ones for Sears and built in extension adaption for INTV II.. then the INTV to Flashback.. heh. Do you still sell adapters for flashback controllers to be used on the INTV2? If so what's the best way to order some from you? Thank you! Just PM me here. which version of Intellivision are you using? Sears or INTV II? depending on which one you have it effects your choices. the compact adapters are better for the sears where the ones with the built in cable extension are better for the INTV II, but that can also be used with the Sears.. 8bitwidgets.com
OK awesome yea overall the extension one is more versatile but for sears owners like myself I prefer the adapters. Thanks, Caleb
k8track
Hey 8bitwidgets, I just sent you a PM. It looks like you accidentally sent me the wrong kind by mistake.
k8track
Just wanted to follow up and say that I got the correct adapters, and they work brilliantly! Thanks again, 8bitwidgets! A++++ seller, do recommend!
Hastor
I got mine off the slightly more pricey ebay route, just to be sure I had some locked in at the time. Still need to test them! In post-move box-land with 40+ consoles not counting duplicates lol.
