awbacon
especially awesome considering how much a Jaguar console costs these days!
ComputerSpaceFan
Here's hoping. Much as I enjoy Yaba Sanshiro I'm finding it doesn't do a lot of what I'm looking for. Mass Destruction for example. If MISTer can finally deliver on the dream of a proper Saturn emulation machine I may consider one.
youxia
There's zero real world indication that these cores will appear any time "soon" (especially Jaguar).
MikeA
I dunno, the Mister has a hard time running 3D Dos games so I'm not certain the current hardware will allow for flawless FPGA emulation of the Jaguar, PS1 and Saturn. If it's not flawless, I'm not interested.
youxia
PSX and Saturn cores are being worked on, and they have very experienced MiSTer developers at the helm. PSX in fact has been restarted from scratch only a few months ago, and it can already run some games. I'm pretty sure it can be done in 1:1 fashion, it's just not "soon" (current estimate is mid-late 2022). The MS-DOS side is represented by the ao486 core. As the name indicates, it emulates 486 level PC (around 66~100 Mhz, no FPU). Most 3D games which would run on these specs run just as expected on MiSTer too, but they're obviously the early ones. But it's possible to play the likes of Duke3D too, in 320x240.
ComputerSpaceFan
Well now maybe I'll bypass MiSTer and get a Switch instead! https://kotaku.com/console-hackers-commandeer-switch-game-s-very-fast-sega-1847843623
