Beast Busters! SNK's obscure but awesome light gun shooter

it's such a bummer to me that Beast Busters never gets any love. I get why Second Nightmare is obscure as it doesn't emulate well at all but the original? Damn it's solid weird fun especially in October

 

Anyone have love for Beast Busters here?

It's included in the SNK anthology that is available on almost everything now... Unfortunately aiming with an analog stick is not as fun as with a light gun. I think what bothered me was the limited ammo; you can't just reload like in most shooting games. And some of the boss fights felt too long and tedious for me iirc.

 

By the way I own Dark Arms but found it very disappointing at the time. I got stuck early one. ?  I'll try to give it a second chance on the Pocket.

Never played the arcade game, but Dark Arms: Beast Buster 1999 (Now that's a mouthful) is Totally my All Time Favorite game on the Neo Geo Pocket.  I used to play the Hell outta that one until my GF (at the time) wiped out my save and put on hers (HMmmmpppffff!)...

Yes I cheated on Unported this time because non-gun control is abysmal lol
