HSC18 Round 18: PRINCE OF PERSIA + SEASON CATCH-UP

Yeah, it's a great game!

Just keep pushing it, and have a close eye on your shadow alltime, so you know your heigthlevel when you are engaging airplanes.

The shadow is also nessesery to "line in" your aproach when bombing.

Use the gun alot on tanks, but it only works when your heigths is 25 and under (when the bar is red) watch out for the gravety to drag you down under 20!

 

A mounth ago i had a great score, but was shot and had a fuel leak in the last stage, i manage to get to the airport barely, and then it came sidewind and i crashed just beside the runway with no fuel left ??

POP restarting back to level 1 is a pain, just left emulator on to grab a coffee and have to start over ?

Still looking for the way on level 3... [edit] found it but falling off too many times to get to the gate in time :ponder:

I picked it up again yesterday and was struggling with that level 3 jump before giving up.  I might give it one more go but I, for one, am looking forward to the next round. :)

I'll start up the next round then end things here but still post progress and more importantly some feedback for the authors ;)

 

Here's what I have for this round, will do scoring later in week but it's congratulations to McKong foir keeping  deteacher from the win, reaching level 8 of POP :thumbsup: I'm really liking POP, possibly too easy to fall off by jumping up instead of up and across (esp using keyboard in emulation, yes I know could use space bar) - could program a slight delay on the up to allow more time for the l/r to be found to improve that or make him teeter instead of falling off from the forward movement :idea:

 

Thanks again to rensoupp and the team :thumbsup: will review this game for the next Pro(c) Atari Magazine unless deteacher or McKong fancy doing this one? :thumbsup:

you (both) did well, playing again figured you have to leggit across the top on level 3 but can't even get anywhere from the panel on the top right before falling off, any tips. Have looked at the spoilers video. I think this section is way too hard and will put almost everyone off playing/making progress. What do you think?

It took me quite a few tries to get it right. 

Is it a case of pacing each bit out from the starting position 1 jump 1 step etc so you know what to do or just going for it and hoping you get lucky?

I didnt pace it out like that. I just got better at switching between running and jumping and vice versa. 

 

Starting on the far right, step to the very left of the first platform. Then you can start with two jumps in a row, after that it just running and jumping, not easy but with a bit of practice...
