OK, some of the recent suggestions, we've played plenty of Lone Raider! Will save paddles games for end of season round option Poll ends after POP innit?

 

Necromancer

The awesome Necromancer by Synapse with bonus game Bankster (prototype not sure how much gameplay it has). Necromancer is challenging but well worth investing in - plant seeds in first stage and guard them, then havest seeds and plant them in 2nd stage (hold button in to move weapon)

 

Megamania and other Megastars

Megamania by Activision Simple side scrolling invaders game. with some other dubious "Mega..." games to make it interesting e.g. Mega Gun or  Megaswear challenge anyone?!!

 

Blinky's Scary School & Skool Daze

Blinky's Scary School (7.6 on AtariMania) really nice explorer platform game with not too many locations, played here before, no score I think. Skool Daze (9.5, recent port) higly rated recent port from the Spectrum you naughty naughty boy

 

Kid Grid & Omidor

As I  see it Kid Grid is too hard but still rated at 7.3 and Omidor is underrated at 5.9

If we run 2 weeks per round, in principle it should be like this:

 

Round 19: November 21 - December 5

Round 20: December 5 - 19

Round 21: December 19 - January 2

 

I'm not sure if R21 needs to be Christmas/winter themed, the few games that exist have been quite played.

 

Round 1 began on January 14, 2021 with polling from January 8.

 

Last season we squeezed in 24 rounds in a season, probably shorter rounds on average. If the number of rounds needs to be consistent, we'll have season 18 running until a good part into February 2022.

 

Edit: Number of rounds per season for the past five years:

HSC13 (2016): 22 rounds
HSC14 (2017): 22 rounds
HSC15 (2018): 23 rounds
HSC16 (2019): 24 rounds
HSC17 (2020): 24 rounds

It's so exciting, I suspect that trbb will come up with something for xmas but I aim to end the season early Jan and start it mid Jan after a small gap where we regroup! Current round is a season catch-up so now's the time rr for those missing scores
