Super Street Fighter II Turbo

Was looking into Super Street Fighter II Turbo on 3DO and was wondering if it was the best version of Street Fighter II. Would you guys agree?

It was the best home version when it came out... if you had the right controller for 3DO

 

But it was soon surpassed by the Saturn and Playstation versions... they had more character animation, the parallax scrolling if the arcade, etc

Nope. I prefer the MS-DOS version, at its best when patched to v1.6. Has a nifty Ad Lib soundtrack, but if you prefer CD audio it has that, too, and I personally think it mops the floor with the 3DO version's music. Graphics are better as well.

 

Not to say the DOS version is perfect; it has some few minor bugs here and there, but they don't interfere with the gameplay and most people wouldn't even notice them.

 

If you own a 3DO Blaster, you can play both versions on the same machine & compare directly, which is both fun & zany.

Definitely not the best, but it's still pretty damn good for the time. Very strong title for the system.
