Ravol
I just recived a Commodore 64 from my grandmother and I noticed this little "knob" on the back of it. I think it is a potentiometer, but I was wondering what's the use of it. Thanks in advance for the help.
+OLD CS1
That cut does not appear to be factory, but the knob itself looks to be. It looks like some kind of adjustment for the RF modulator. I cannot recall ever seeing this on a C64 board. Can you post up a full picture of the back of the computer?
carlsson
Isn't there a Low-High switch (channel 3/4) on NTSC C64s? It usually is blanked out on PAL. I would imagine this knob either adjusts the frequency of the signal (caution: small steps) or the colour strength (again, small adjustments).
