Mockduck Posted December 2, 2021 Share Posted December 2, 2021 This is smart for Atari, although I too share concerns that this kind of ownership of a largely crowd-funded commercial database has the potential to kill it. They'll now have access to all of that info for production at the very least, access to the user base for marketing, and the Antstream infrastructure could someday be their version of cloud game streaming. What would they gain from shutting it down? Also, they advertise products through them. So, again, why would they shut them down and hide the info there?
