oracle_jedi
Hey gang, So here is a question for those who game alot. What head phones do you recommend? I am looking for something that lasts more than a month or two. I've tried a whole bunch of brands, and price points from $30 to almost $300 and they all seem to be made of super brittle plastic that snaps after my sons have used them for between 8 and 12 weeks. Does anyone know of a brand/model that is able to take young-adult Destiny raiding without coming apart? Robustness is prized here over sound quality although that is important too. Would appreciate some pointers, even if it is "avoid this brand...."
Tanooki
I had been using since the pS3 era some turtlebeach ones that had a really long cord, the a module for volume and powering it louder which then ran into a usb port on the PS3, but that removed it worked fantastic using the classic phones jack. It took years but finally it started to static a bit with certain levels of bass tone being it. From there I did research and settled on another wired model of a popular headset for under $100, the steelseries arctis 1 and it's even nicer than the TB one I had used. Very good audio, nice around the ear comfy cups to them, great range on the low, high, bass...has a pop off mic and volume etc is set on the side of the left ear covering. What I read is that while the body appears plastic, internally it has something stronger about it, forget what exactly but it's meant to handle less than gentle use. You should be able to nail one down in the $50+ range depending on the store.
