Like @Lauren Tyler , my first thought was that Activision's effort was the better of the two (and indeed, for the time and for a 2k game it's remarkable . . . .much like many early Activision games) . But the course on Winter Games is actually really thought out, and Winter Games more generally is one of those games where I find myself thinking "how on earth did they do something this impressive on the 2600?". It's actually more fun than the 7800 version, and (despite the obvious graphics / sound limitations) almost as much fun to play as the superb C64 version. fakecortex Posted February 5, 2022 Share Posted February 5, 2022 These games started annoying as I hit everything in sight, then got better, then got frustrating. I’ll probably come back to them, as there’s a lot of satisfaction from having a good run, but too much crashing gets very irritating. In slalom, I love it when you smack into a flag and then still miss the goal ?. I’m not the biggest fan of games where I end up hitting reset 20 times before a good run.
