There's still plenty of power even in the pre-slim Xbox One and Playstation 4 to full realize classic compilations like this without compromising anything. And thanks to the excellent backwards compatibility that both their next-gen successors offer, these versions are automatically perfectly playable on the latest hardware. As long as millions of gamers still play on last gen hardware, there's no reason to stop developing projects with modest technical demands like Pac-Man Museum + for these. the new arkanoid game is being targeted towards the s and x so far. https://www.destructoid.com/arkanoid-eternal-battle-taito-classic-sequel-coming-in-2022-microids/ im not going to buy a new console just to play new (old) games. later -1 Edited June 25, 2022 by negative1

Every other game will probably be for the new consoles only. I didn't want an xbox one either, since the 360 has tons of retro games on it. But they made exclusive versions for the xbox one, and i ended up getting 2 for free. (Gave one away). There's no way I would pay for another console thats going to be limited, especially since I never use online play. As long as games have physical releases, then i would support them. later -

"More than 90 playable games", which may or may not include the six new ones. Probably will overlap heavily with the Flashback collection... doesn't seem to be a list out there, but with a little math it would probably be possible to guess most of the list. Have Jaguar and Lynx games ever been ported to anything else, ever?

Not like an Arkanoid remake even needs 4K textures...

roots.genoa
Since it's published by Microids, there's a very good chance there will be physical editions. That being said, I know someone who worked on this and it's really focusing on the multiplayer, so if you don't care about it, you may not like it.
