+karri
I just got back a game I sent to the US on the 21st of September, 2021. The customs declaration was made electronically. The customs label was attached to the box. The package was undamaged. The postage was paid. Still the US Post decided to return the package with no explanation. I've got enough. Obviously I have to try again with this last parcel I will send to the US - ever. Edit: oh yeah, this was sent as priority with electronic tracking that worked as long as the parcel was in Europe. After that - nothing... There is no point in sending anything to the US if 3 out of 4 gets lost.
thefred
I have received every package you have ever sent me, I just had the one that did take around 3 1/2 months but did wind up arriving. I really wish you would reconsider your decision. I am really looking forward to a physical release of Wizzy when you complete it. I have loved every game you sent me.

Wizzy is planned to be available as a free download when it is ready. I believe the best way to get physical copies would be to ship them to Songbird via DHL and let Carl struggle with local deliveries. I might also consider visiting retro events with copies of Wizzy. But currently I am still struggling with the programming of the new 2MB cart. Signals appear to be ok. But there is something I have not understood about the chip yet. Here is a teaser of the first few seconds of Wizzy. Sounds are still missing as well as the sweet background tune. Preliminary release date in 2023. untitled.mp4
Leonard Smith
The same could be said about international post offices too. I refuse to ship internationally since I've only ever had issues with shipments to the UK and parts of Europe. Better to go with a third party carrier like Fedex or UPS at this point in time. +jgkspsx
I've never had a problem with a package once it got to the USPS, but I've had several go missing in Europe
+karri
A few years ago every parcel reached the destination in 10 working days. Except Brazil that took 6 months. I believe that I have been lucky to get 10 working days service twice in the last year. My guess is that canceled flights and Covid does not help either. 2020-2021: I thought that the last two years were bad. 2022: Hold my beer...
Leonard Smith
It's definitely Covid related. Companies of all types are using it as an excuse with no end in sight. Its covid this, shutdown that, can't find enough help, blah, blah, blah. I will say that things are noticeably improving, but it will be years before stuff truly normalizes. 1
Greg2600
Keep in mind that US Customs is not the same agency as the USPS. It's possible Customs are rejecting your shipment, and USPS's role is simply mailing it back. 2

My local post office added a paper of how I should declare the shipment etc. My guess is that I forgot to sign some paper or the font of the automatically printed paper was too small. I could not even read it myself. But they did have my name, email, phone number, address, content and value in electronic format. They also had the same data for the receiving guy. So returning it was not ok.
4ever2600
There is a simpler answer to Karri's question... Everything.
+jgkspsx
I mean, the USPS has almost never lost or damaged a piece of mail for me. I can’t think of another public or private institution that has done as well by me. If you have problems it is probably closer to your individual level than you suspect. As a whole it soundly beats FedEx, UPS, and DHL on the regular.
+karri
It is hard to know where the stuff gets lost as there is no trace. The fact is that the 10 working days estimate is no longer advertised for priority mail. It could also be that anything that could have something of value in it gets stolen more than before.
