Appeelicious
So I got a TIPI for what I thought was a solution for all my needs only to find out that I need a true floppy controller in the party so I can use my Plato Interpreter module. So I have a loose floppy controller and a 32k that interfaces with the TIPI. What would it take to rig the floppy controller for use? As I understand the PEB gives power and someplace for the cards and drives to live. Do I need any logic to make the floppy controller work? Or or can I just run cables from the 32k to the floppy controller and the floppy controller to a gotek emulator and just supply power from a PC power supply matching voltages correctly to the floppy controller and the gotek? You are going to need a TI floppy controller.
Appeelicious
Right, I do have a TI floppy controller that normally would live in a PEB. Just wondering if I could rig it to the 32k sidecar that interfaces with a TIPI
Stuart
You can make up a cable/adaptor to connect the floppy controller direct to the sideport - http://www.stuartconner.me.uk/ti/ti.htm#resurrecting_disk_system. But not sure how that arrangement would get on with the 32K and TIPI.
Appeelicious
I would settle for the 32k and the floppy controller playing nice. I'll do some light reading and see what's doable. Thanks for the link!
