Synopsis The young pilot Cliff Secord ends up finding, after suffering a plane crash due to a shootout between gangsters and the FBI, a top-secret prototype of a jetpack hidden by one of the bandits. Assuming the identity of Rocketeer, Cliff encounters all sorts of villains, led by a Hollywood actor, Neville Sinclair, who is actually a spy in the service of the Nazis. During an exhibition flight, Cliff uses the rocket to save a friend from an accident, coming to be called "Rocketeer" by the public. With his picture on the front pages of every newspaper, Cliff is pursued by the FBI, gangsters and German spies, who kidnap Jenny, his girlfriend, forcing Cliff to rescue her.
