Sack's AT-Speed emulator rebuilt

Hi,

This is another PC emulator that I brought back for the Atari scene. I retrieved the equations for the three secured GAL chips and checked them in the original system. Everything works 100%. In some time I will publish the documentation on my website for free as always.

It was possible thanks to my colleague JAVALONDE from the Polish Atari Area forum, who gave me this equipment without fear of losing it.

I am also working on recreating the Vortex AT-once Plus emulator.

Please wait... ;-)

Hi,

Project is finished. You can read short story on my pages there -> http://atari.myftp.org/atspeed/atspeed.html - use google translate because site uses Polish language only.

Of course there are all needed files to build clone of AT-SPEED.

Sorry people - I really don't have time to support anyone in building these devices. Look for someone who will make you working clones. In fact, my consent to production does not matter here. In case of legal doubts - I do not take part in this :D

Regards
tOri

Widziałem zdjęcie Falcon Speed (emulator 286). Najpierw muszę się nauczyć jak pobierać informacje z urządzeń PALCE20V8 :D Może ktoś kiedyś odda działające emu do cofania?

Hi. I have a Falcon Speed 286 Emulator. Unfortunately, although I have the software for this card, I can't set the configuration program to see the C partition under DOS.

I have Falcon 030/14MB RAM/CoPro/CF4GB. I have partitions formatted in TOS/WINDOWS mode.

Unfortunately, all the attempts I've made have failed. Maybe someone knows what to do. I want to install on Falcon WIN 3.11.

Regards.

I've done this +/- 15 years ago, and it works. Also with win 3.11. However the windows is slow.

I used hddriver for my hard-disk.

What I remember, you need to follow the steps as mentioned in the manual.

The size and format of the primary partition is important.

You can find the manual at https://docs.dev-docs.org/

However the manual is only available in 'German' language.

If you still fails, please give me some more info about your setup.

Wow - never noticed this.  I just discovered a few months back, that my 520ST not only had a 1MB RAM upgrade in it (wasn't working until it was reseated), but it also has an original Sack upgrade in it.

Zrobiłem to +/- 15 lat temu i działa. Również z wygraną 3.11. Jednak okna są powolne.

Użyłem hddriver do mojego dysku twardego.

Hi. Thank you very much for your quick reply.

The manual is great, just what I needed.

Unfortunately, even though I did everything according to the instructions, I actually tried it before, the system still does not see the HDD.

I'm not sure if it's not the fault of my HDD driver

I am using HDDRIVER 11.03. This driver works quite strangely.

It sees 8 partitions formatted as TOS but in TOS it only sees 4 partitions. I fire up HUSHI and I already have all 8 partitions???

HDDRIVER is bought so it's not a demo. The card is 8 GB with partitions of 1 GB.

To complicate matters, I use a dual CF reader.

The second card is 256 MB. The first partition is 32 MB, the rest is occupied by the second partition. Partitions formatted as TOS/WIN

I think I did everything right.

When I run HUSHI I can see all the partitions.

I set drive C to K because it is a 32MB TOS/WIN partition. I enable the HDD option.

I start the program and .... nothing.

The manual mentions the AHDI driver.

I don't know if the ones I use are compatible with it.

Falcon has copro, 14 MB RAM and no mods. Anyway, I have four other Falcons and it's the same on them.

I will only add that although I have a large collection of large Ataris, I am a layman.

I bought my first Atari 2 years ago.

I've always been an Amiga fan. Until I saw Falcon.

I am very impressed with this machine and when I bought the Falcon with CT60e and SuperVidel I became a fan.

There was a FALCON SPEED in one of my Falcons. Unfortunately, there was no software for it.

I am writing all this because you must know that I have very little experience and I am still learning.

If you can tell me what I am doing wrong I will be much obliged.

Thanks again for your help20210220_020018.thumb.jpg.386915d3131d9bfae75ed7af540bb4db.jpg20201122_200055.thumb.jpg.b351c4311a0c5a6bf9e72848514d76ef.jpg

Is this for me 😇? I am a very beginner messiah, far from a master 😎.

You have a great desktop that I saw in Dark Force. I also use Thing, but mine doesn't look that great. I also don't have such cool icons.

Is your Thing working as a frontend for TOS or MiNT? Installing MiNT on Falcon is like open-brain surgery for me.

Is it possible to find ready-made images of disks with a configured system on the network?

Greetings from Poland.

Oh, I was referring to your desk arrangement - that's a great setup.  :)

I use the Thing desktop on top of MINT, on my (currently disassembled) Falcon 060.

There are a handful of options for installing MINT:

Och, miałem na myśli ustawienie twojego biurka - to świetna konfiguracja.  :)

🙂🙃🙂

Używam pulpitu Thing na MINT, na moim (obecnie zdemontowanym) Falconie 060.

Do you recommend under MiNT Falcon with CT60e? Could it be 030

I have 060 but I will also gladly improve the appearance of my desktop on my 030.

Istnieje kilka opcji instalacji MINT:

Do you think MiNT is better than FreeMINT?

Hello,

Nice that it works for you.

Can you give some explanation how your actual working setup is ?

Did you use/install other stuff than win 3 with the ATspeed.

I used mine for accessing wordperfect 5.1

Regards,

Mark
