I want to make a ship game for atari, and I've been looking at tutorials and game examples.

But I don't know how I can make the shot go horizontally.

Looks like this is a batari Basic game, so you might have better luck posting questions like this in the batari Basic forum.

 

It looks like you are using missile0 for your shots. In this case, you use missile0x to make your shot go horizontally, either incrementing or decrementing depending on whether you want the shot to go right or left. For horizontal shots, you will probably also want to adjust the missile0height and NUSIZ0 for it to have toe appropriate height and width for horizontal shots (e.g. missile0height=1 NUSIZ0=$20).
