7800 European No Video

Hello,

 

I recently bought a 7800 (European, German adaptor). It powers on ok, however no image is displayed on the TV. I previously plugged in an XL to the same TV port and it works fine. However, there is literally no output on the 7800. Am I missing something?

I also got a 7800 from Germany a while ago. The automatic channel recognition did not work. But choosing manual analog channel tuning and tapping in 055.75 MHz produced a coloured screen.

Still no luck sadly. What is the switch neat to the antenna on the console for? I have moved that around, also with no luck

Any tips on how to get it working? It is still sitting in a box. I would prefer not to mod it.

Could you post some pictures, as far as I know there is no switch on the rear of a pal 7800

PAL-B models (continental Europe) have the switch,  PAL-I ones (UK and Ireland) don't.

The same applies to 2600 consoles.

Thanks to everyone for your help, following the comments above I tried it again and flicked the switch at the back, it found the console and it works fine now. I just need to fine tune it.

 

While I got six games with it, two don't work and the rest are terrible. But I look forward to finding out what is good.
