+slx
Afaik there are no region-specific POKEYs. 1
Synthpopalooza
I think once it's fully functional, including all the weird nonstandard stuff I've been doing with POKEY. 3
Synthpopalooza
Also POKEYs are not region dependent.
Ecernosoft
Hey! If anyone could explain how POKEY works on the atari 7800, that would be great since I couldn't get any noise from the POKEY on the 7800.
SIO2
7800 does not have a POKEY built in. Individual games that support POKEY sound need to have a POKEY on the game cartridge.

I have a POKEY concerto ... But when I try to hear the music there, it is dead silent.

Most of these should play ok as they are currently mapped to mostly work (for example a 128kRam cart can have difficulty on Concerto currently and will need modification to play) with the Concerto but it can still depend on the location of the pokey (memory wise - $4000, $450 etc). The other condition if your console has been modded then whether that has been connected correctly. Firstly can you get Commando or Ballblazer playing ok?
