Little Computer People (largely passive/screensaver)

Small update. Fireplace area is now animated as your friend walks over it.

A few graphical changes implemented and some of the colors have moved from white to an "off white" color to help with flicker.

I keep forgetting to turn off joystick movement as that's how I'm testing the rooms but it won't be enabled on the screensaver - at least not for movement.

If you wanted to be clever and make things more complicated for yourself..

You could set the playfield pixels to black and use the playfield background as a mask.  So, you could do things like make the middle gray and the top red.  Then draw pixels everywhere the bricks and roof are NOT.  It would look like a gray house with a red roof.

Can you mock something simple up? I'm following, vaguely...

I'm a visual person and sometimes directions are more confusing.

In this picture the dark blue is actually playfield pixels.  The grass and dirt is actually the playfield background.

Gotcha. I think I did something similar with my lawnmover screen saver...

I might give that a try...thanks for the suggestion!

Everything should be working. Not much to add...dog will run to your side, sometimes, if you're on the top floor (he misses you).

I'm sure I could continue to tweak, and probably will.

My main goal for jumping to the DPC+ kernel was to have everything onscreen at the same time.

That and the higher resolution that allowed for better looking graphics.

I think I've managed to do that for the most part.

If you need further convincing download both version and compare.

Happy Friday!
