I want to bu an Atari Falcon

I should have never sold mine years ago. Now I’m looking to buy 1 again. I know they don’t show up much but I know they are available sometimes.

Probably one that comes with a U.S. keyboard. That may be about the only difference though.

 

I'm not 100% certain what the various keyboards were like but, since the whole ST line had different keyboards for different regions, it's logical to assume that there are at least a few variations in the Falcon keyboards. Even if, like on the STs, key mapping is controlled by TOS, you'd still have different character labels on the key caps.

My reason for asking about the language / keyboards is, that I think there are not many variations in the Falcon keyboards.

And of course the OS having settings for language. (That I've never tested).

 

My second quesion was also of serious nature.

What would be the price for a Falcon right now.

How much is someone willing to (or capable of) pay for a Falcon?

There is one one ebay right now.  asking $2200 or make offer.  That is pretty much the going rate right now.

I haven't seen one go for much less than about $1,500 USD in the past year or two. I'd say the going rate is between $1,000 and $2,000. That's a pretty wide range, but there are a lot of factors that can impact the final price.

I'd pay $2,500 for a mint one. Most of the Falcons on eBay are awful with many being outside of the U.S.
