Can you used the MOS 6502 CPU on any console that use it

Just wondering if I buy a new MOS 6502 (Shown in the amazon Link) can it be use on any console that runs on it (Example The Atari 5200 or any other console that use one)
or does it need to be an exclusive MOS 6502 that was made for that console only

The 5200 uses a 6502C "Sally" chip, and the ones you linked to will not work in a 5200.  They may or may not work in some 400 / 800 systems that use the 6502B.

There is an adapter board. But, I don't know if has been tested on a 5200.
