Yes, it must had get humid, grow mold (is tastier for silver fish) and get eaten. The shrink wrap are not air sealed (or they will form a ballon) the have little holes and also the silver fish can eat trough plastic. They can eat paper but is not their favorite meal. Is like going to a table full of food and get plain bread when you can have hamburgers. In the warehouse they go for the glue of the stickers of the shipping boxes and leave the games alone for the most part. They may eat your moldy boxesand leavve the rest alone.
