Rickster8
Okay, so I bought an SD card for my new Harmony cart and yeah it only goes in half way.... I'm not cramming this thing in there so I must have the wrong size SD card right? ?♂️? See pics below. Please advise. Thx, Rickster8
+groundtrooper
I believe that is the way the current Harmony and Concerto Carts are/work. The older Harmony Carts used an SD Card slot/reader that accepted the card and was spring loaded and locking. At some point batari switched to the type that you have because of sourcing or price issues. I think your just fine. Here is a comparison. Old Harmony the SD Card almost fully inserts into the cart. Clear Concerto from 2021 the SD Card only inserts about half way and doesn't lock into the slot.

+groundtrooper
Have dropped any roms on your SD Card? If you haven't got any roms yet I recommend RomHunters Rom Pack. He has a Harmony Cart Folder in his pack.

UGH!!! ?♂️ Did you get a manual or instruction for your HARMONY? ? This is mine with SD card fully inserted, MINE IS A FEW YEARS OLD WITH SPRING ACTION so don't force yours, yes mine seems slight askew but not sure if just mine. As for the SD card, mine is formatted FAT but I assume FAT 32 is fine. YOU CANNOT JUST DROP A ZIPPED ARCHIVE ON THE SD AND EXPECT IT TO RUN, UNZIP THE ARCHIVE AND DROP CONTENTS TO ROOT OF SD CARD. HERE for example is my setup and folders (within folders are full unzipped roms) note the hbios.bin file as well. I have it up on my PC. I can see file folders, but something or a step has been missed here... This is what I see on my SD. Sorry I'm a techie dummie for sure.....
+groundtrooper
So you just need to select all the folders inside that Harmony.zip file and drag them out of the Harmony.zip to the root of the SD card which in your screenshot is the D: Then you should be able to navigate the folders on the Harmony cart and load the roms in all of those folders.

Do I move those to D as well or just the folders? ?♂️ @groundtrooper Edited May 18, 2022 by Rickster8 Added a little more text.
+-^CrossBow^-
@Rickster8 The two drive sort files are for the drive sort program which is a Windows program and not for Harmony. Drive sort is used to 'realign' the files alphabetically on the SD card. So again, that doesn't need to be on the Harmony itself. The SCSI130-cge2k1.bin I think might be a version of SCSICIDE for the CGE 2001 event release? So that might actually be a playable rom file through Harmony. The confusion here is that starting with... Windows 7? ... Windows will now show the contents of .zip files just like a normal file/folder system. That is because zip compatibility is built into windows to make it easier to see the files, copy/extract them etc. Previously we would have to use a separate program to extract the files from within a .zip file to actually use them. So to summarize. You can remove the two drivesort files and then move the scsi130-cgk2k1.bin file to one of the other folders or leave it if you wish. Does that help explain it? YES, Select all of those, right click, and send to the SD card. You don't need all of them, particularly the PAL, and there are many doubles in the different folders-there's enough room on the SD for them, so may as well just store them there basically. FFS, I am SOOO close to just jumping in the car and driving over to NC, lol! (Teasing. You'll get it...).
