The "two consoles in one" aspect is legit and the homebrew scenes for both 2600 and 7800 are fantastic. Chances are you'll never run into a compatibility issue with a 2600 game (some 7800 revisions cannot play a 2600 game or two, but it varies). Here's a helpful thread. Further, some 7800 revisions cannot physically fit some 2600 carts due to a slightly smaller cartridge slot. Luckily, there's a fix for that now that doesn't involve any console modifications and is a recommended pickup.
