Tanooki
Early beta and in pretty good form, the bones are definitely there and seem to be a really nice start. Enemy placement and ferocity will need to be updated, a couple earlier spots (like the rocket and rifle guy) are just beyond MVS nasty there, but that the routines work as they should is most important. I'll download this when it's more complete to the original game, it's a good start.

Steven Pendleton
Hell yeah. I will definitely try this over the weekend. Is this NTSC optimized or should I be playing this in 50Hz?

Is this NTSC optimized or should I be playing this in 50Hz? The game autodetects the machine type, if a Megadrive or Genesis one. The same ROM is compatible with 50 Hz and 60 Hz at once :) The game engine, its render and logic processes are automatically configured accordingly, detected machine is displayed at top right corner. Perfect! I'll probably get around to trying it tomorrow. I'll run it on my VA4 Japanese MD, which has compatibility problems with some stuff, which will be interesting. I'll let you know if it doesn't work on the VA4.
youxia
Played it on MiSTer, great job. It's pretty wild. For some reason reminds me of old punk rock zines
roots.genoa
Just tried it. Damn, it's a lot harder than the original game. Enemies respawn a lot and it's not possible to duck apparently. Also the game crashed after I destroyed the boat, there was an address error. I played on Mega Sg.
Steven Pendleton
Works on VA4 Mega Drive + Mega-CD + Super 32. I also tested the Retro-Bit 2.4GHz controller, which has compatibility problems with some games (Time Dominator) and it works.

Yes, the bug is due to there are no limits in explosions generated by player grenades, However, the bug is explained at Itchio development log. What is a Mega Sg? However, when the game reaches more than 4 MB ROM, MegaCD and 32x will need to be disconnected, due to these large ROMs overlap Mega CD and 32X space

masteries
Megadrive / Genesis Beta 2 (24 December 2022): -Audio is uncompressed -Fixed a severe problem that lets spawn a huge amount of grenades when the player is over a resistant enemy (such a vehicle or a giant slug), this usually leads to a console crash -Fixed a rare bug that corrupted player graphics when using the knife -Increased the amount of detail, now there are a huge number of debris sprites at once without crashing the console system -Added a new way to create huge explosions, and huge waterfall sprites. This new method saves precious cartridge bandwidth and eliminates a potential source of system crashes Download at: https://masteries.itch.io/ 3
