+frankodragon
I haven't seen any updated court records on Tommy Vs Amur, the office equipment company but he's been in a bit of trouble with money before.
roots.genoa
Frankly, the way it's progressing, I wouldn't be surprised if John Alvarado was alone working on it in his free time.
CPUWIZ
Failing to report cash means he was stopped with over $10K in cash, entering or leaving the country, I have almost made that mistake once.

That will likely be the last bit of truly interesting info to come out of this epic fiasco. Obviously I am not privy to the company-formerly-known-as-Intellivision's financials, but bankruptcy is not the only way to wind-up a business. If there are no outstanding debts, they can continue to dispose of assets and spend cash until there is nothing left. My Father used to operate his own small business. When it came time to retire, he sold off all of the physical assets (mostly equipment) to a former employee, paid off the few outstanding debts, terminated the lease on the premises, closed the bank accounts, and that was that. The company legally remained active for another year or two until it was automatically struck for not filing its annual corporate return (and paying a fee); by that point it was just a shell with no assets and my Father was living in another jurisdiction. Nobody cared. The lawyer described the process as a "soft landing".
kevtris
they obviously aren't very serious about things, because they STILL don't have a new name for their so-called business. normally you'd have a new name lined up and paperwork filed before the deal goes through so you can continue to operate uninterrupted. 7

Sadly the only thing about this endeavor that operated uninterrupted was Tommy’s mouth….right up until he was booted from AtariAge. 😆

I’m assuming they will use the “merger” (as shills keep calling it) as the reason for no more actual updates until the shill numbers start decreasing from Tab induced diabetic comas. Iirc they have loans coming up to themselves that are due this year. Drain what you can until that point, split the rest amongst the loan, close shop and lock the doors on the car to the roadmap. 19 hours ago, CurlyQ said: Don't forget about our good friend GrudgeQ...he's a moderator in the Amico Facebook Group. Wasn't he the idiot that posted pictures of his breakfast that made his eggs and toast look like Amico controllers? Is he still doing that? Because I totally stole his idea today and made my breakfast totally like Amico. Can you see the Amico resemblance? 7 hours ago, Bill Loguidice said: We're all just speculating, but yes, I absolutely think they're not doing this for free and are paying the salaries of the few remaining individuals. I'm not sure of the specifics of how they'll file for bankruptcy or under what circumstances or conditions, but my assumption is the paying of the salaries, the trickle of software product, the occasional public statements, etc., is for procedural purposes so there's less chance of any liability when the inevitable happens. They can show "good faith," etc., when they're before the courts. So yeah, not only to make money while they still can for not doing much, but to protect themselves as much as possible legally. Frankly, it makes you wonder what shenanigans they did to allegedly blow through $17 million. Certainly distance from that helps their legal case as well, as the changing of who's in charge and doing what, etc. I suppose when they do the bankruptcy fillings, we'll know better what the timelines were and who did or didn't do what. That will likely be the last bit of truly interesting info to come out of this epic fiasco. Well I know Nick's Rad Dude Rides business was at the exact same address as IE. I can't remember if Nick also owned the building. They were literally paying salaries to people who weren't doing anything meaningful as well as multiple offices in different states. They did spend money to make the not game products. They gave money to the shill channels by joining their channels and superchats. I wouldn't be surprised if Tommy spent a bunch of money on licenses to make games while having no one lined up to make them. Remember all that talk about the ACL? Well that branding isn't on Cornhole, not is Hot Wheel on the Side Swipers demo. Then you have beer parties, Ferrari signs, steel running man signs, and the classic...

They failed at the rocketship, they failed with a motorized vehicle, maybe they should try a pulling rickshaw. They could then use idiots like RelicGamer who wanted shills to put together units for free to own the haters! 🤣 They have enough sheeple to pull their dead weight. This image made the rounds on Social Media in the latter half of 2020 to help promote the Intellivision Amico Special Event. I can only assume he chose to distance himself from the Amico fiasco after the Q&A thread got axed and the (now defunct) Reddit r/Amico got taken over. Defending Tommy and his Pie in the Sky console became a futile endeavor.

Like your main job as zookeeper is to shovel the animals crap? Or more something along the lines of giving the animals colonic irrigation procedures for animals holding their two shits as they wait for 5 star reviews on their yet to be opened to the public zoo?
