Bill Loguidice
Posting this new email here only because I think it's relevant to the concept of trying to resurrect an old brand in a clumsy manner for the modern era: Upon first announcement, I thought it was a REALLY bad idea. The full arcade now STARTS at $1900 and the control panel-only version (with a simple piano stand) starts at $900 (both of which are reduced from when this was first announced). It looks to be good quality, and I'm sure it works more or less as expected, but this landed with the expected thud. Now, the wording in the email just sounds desperate. I actively feel bad for them. Kudos, of course, for delivering on a vision and producing an actual product, but this is another case of "Amico." I just don't get how these people/companies can evaluate the market, potential market, etc., and release products like these. It's like the Piko-centric handheld not acknowledging the existence of the Evercade.

MrBeefy
It has an old game system name on it. So someone will buy it based on that alone. Here is a great example as to the demographic for these things. An old lonely man who has to pipe in noise to attempt to make it seem like he isn't alone shittily playing shitty Amico Home cornhole. Tommy really knew how to pick them. I think Tommy mistook those likely to lock children up in a basement with family oriented. I know it's a hard distinction to make...

+GoldLeader
PS Speaking of Plumbers & Turtles; I wonder if Tommy's "Good Friend" Shiggy ever wanted to buy Amico so he could put out a "Family Friendly" console for a change?...Maybe Tommy could throw in some free Amico sound FX that Shiggy could program a whole game around.... SteveTheColecoDude
Returning to social media after over two years by falsely claiming to being the backgammon world champion. Well he sure made a return in the most Tommy way possible! 1
Matt_B
Yeah, winning the Intermediate final would be something worth bragging about for a backgammon amateur but spinning it into somehow being a World Champion is just pure Tommy. File alongside the Guinness World Records, Yankee Hall of Famer and first American to work on Sonic, I suppose.

Bill Loguidice
I genuinely feel sorry for the guy's mental and emotional issues, but I'm really curious what's he done for money in the past 2.5 years. Amico funding? Royalties? Concerts? Any/all of that seems somewhat questionable.

It seems he was very close to his father, and I imagine that his passing (along with other matters) led to him being in the mental state he appeared to go into. Doesn't excuse anything he did concerning the Amico and other matters that have come to light. Still, he does have my condolences as I am still fortunate enough to have both parents alive and (relatively) well. I can't imagine how I will feel when they are both gone. MrBeefy
Having helped raise my youngest sibling since our father died at an early age, I kind of find how he handled his sister and father quite disgusting. He literally used his dead sister to get sympathy and money for his scam. He also threw Amico out there too when his dad was sick. However, I'd expect that type of behavior from someone who is a narcissist. 10/10 should be known as Happy Desecrate Dead Family Members Day. He hasn't changed and has already made up a BS story about how he only played backgammon after his dad died, when he was here bragging about getting lessons. He's finding a new group to grift on. And much like his being homeless under a pier (that wasn't there at the time) he needs a superhero backstory to make himself feel bigger than the sad person he really is. 11 1
MrBeefy
Happy Desecrate Dead Family Members Day everyone! My Grandma Gertrude before she died back in 1995 always said that she wanted nothing more than to play Finnigan Fox with me on the Amico. She told me to be a brave hater to give fuel to the future CEO so he can get it done! She also said buy an incomplete game called TBoners because they are doing great things! Do it for Grandma Gertie!
