RangerG
The Spectravideo Robotarm is documented and there was a MSX adapter and one for the C64. I think this one is for the CoCo, but I am not sure. It has an Atari power supply but the interface fits the CoCo. Could there be another computer with the same sized cartridge? The book calls for using the cassette player (which I don’t have). Any information on this?

RangerG
It does seem to be for the CoCo. I sold it to a member of the Facebook CoCo group and he plans to restore it.
MrMaddog
Man, why couldn't Radio Shack sell an Armatron that connects to a CoCo?

MrDave
Armatron would be hard to connect to coco. The controls were with pulleys and gears ! Nit switches. 1

Yeah, I remember taking it apart to see if I can find any switches or button contacts to hook wires leading into joystick/paddle ports. But it was all gears like you said. And Ma was not happy about it at all!
jhd
I can recall seeing one or two published articles about interfacing a robot arm to the Coco (ca. 1984), but they were technically way above me and the details are long-gone. I have never seen the Robojet before.

MrDave
The Coco was pretty friendly with it's cartridge port easily lets you do stuff the is a spare select line ( used by disk etc ) that is automatically decoded to $ff40- ff4f. Something.. So you don't need a ton of logic to work something on the cart. The scs line goes low for any pokes or pee ks there.
