I'd love to give it a test with my TT and see if it actually functions. Would anyone a) actually have the cable and b) be willing to part with it for a few days? I'm happy to cover shipping each way or pick it up if you're around Atlanta. Another option obviously is if anyone knows where to find a cable that'll work, that'd be great! It is serious risk of making it worse, experiencing smoke, etc. There are electronic components which degrade a lot during longer time without being powered on. You need to bring it to some TV/monitor service, kind of who has experience with such older ones. And there is a chance that service (wo)man can make you proper cable too.
