Maybe try to change your browser text size to 90% see if that helps.

At first, I assumed I'd accidentally zoomed in. :) I'm running a 32" 4K monitor here at 100 per cent scaling and I get about four posts to the entire height of the screen. Glad I'm not using a laptop. :)

EDIT: Problem with zooming out, of course, is that the index pages (which look about perfect to me) would then become too small.

Yikes - post point size just increased significantly and signatures are big too. Is this intentional?

Post point size should be the same as was previously before the upgrade.  I will fix the default signature font size so it is smaller, though.

How are some peeps able to get a pic in their forum signature?
One of the mods has a Ukraine postage stamp pic, is this a subscriber only feature?

Images are not allowed in signatures, I will ask @ZeroPage Homebrew to remove the image.  Who has a "Ukraine postage stamp" picture in their signature?

Thank you,

Wow, up to 10 pages of posts so far. Hard to keep track of what’s been reported so far, but I don’t see a widget to allow post edits. Is that coming back?

EDIT: Found it in the ellipsis/context menu. Not sure how long it’s gonna take to get used to that!

It got significantly bigger for me after the forum was briefly unavailable for an update about an hour ago.

As you can see, I get about four posts vertically on average in a maximised window, and the user name and various other bits of ancillary text are much smaller than the posts themselves.

I made the text size change yesterday, it had nothing to do with the brief update earlier today.  Again, the text size should be the same as it was with the previous forum, and I've been making many other similar changes to bring this skin more in line with the earlier them.

Hopefully you won't have to, as I've asked the theme designer to move it back out next to the Quote button.

I was unaware of the rule, sorry about that! I've removed the image.

@Albert Follow up from @Eagle's post about externally linking file attachments from the AA forums:

It appears that direct links to file attachments are no longer accessible to outside websites such as JS7800 and Javatari through their file link URLs on the AA forums:

Both the old file link format of:

https://forums.atariage.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=XXXXXX
and the new link format:

https://forums.atariage.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=XXXXXX&key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

They both appear to redirect to file storage on amazonaws.com, which I'm guessing is not able to be parsed by the websites when they are trying to load the file for emulation. I use the file links on JS7800 and Javatari for convenient playable links for the new Atari 2600 & Atari 7800 homebrew game listings.

Let me know if this is possible to fix or if I should remove the emulation links for the game listings. Thanks!

@Albert Looks like the double notifications are related to posts of people I follow. Maybe that helps finding the bug.

We went from having "friends" to having "followers" after the upgrade before this one. Very weird. This isn't Twitter, so I blocked it. Now nobody can follow me unless it's in real life and then they'd regret it because I fart a lot.

It might be, but I don't follow members, I do follow some forums and lots of topics (they are automagically added to my followed content when I post a reply).

Because of this last feature, my mailbox is full of notifications on this topic, but I have identified that only one of them is repeated. Might other members receive exactly the same notification twice?

@Albert: Do you need these .eml for the forensics?

I really need to ask.

What is the weird multi-colored square thing in the bottom left corner of mine and everyone else's avatar?

It's the joystick rank graphic, which apparently now needs to be a square.  As this graphic is not a square, it is being squished horizontally to fit in that space.  I removed this from the main skin, but it's still in the other two skins, and I need to fix that.

My vintage G4 Mac laptops are left in the dust. Buttons don’t work, can’t reply or start new topic. Embedded YouTubes are blank space.

Probably outdated JavaScript. 😭

I'm impressed that you were using G4 Mac laptops online.  The forum definitely uses a lot of Javascript, was the previous version of the forum working with it?  I don't think that much has changed in that department between the version we were running and the current version.  Sorry that they are no longer working, there's unfortunately not terribly much I can do about that.  :(

Thanks! Just a heads up... font size increased when *in* a thread, but still small when browsing:

I missed this earlier.  Another thread was reported as having this same issue, as described here:

This only seems to be affecting threads where one or more people have been banned, and only when you are logged out.  Fortunately, there are not many threads where people have been banned.  But popular, long-running threads are more likely to have at least one person who's been kicked out.  Banning someone from a topic is a third-party plugin, and I've already written the plugin author with the details.  I tried disabling the plugin, and that did not help, which is unusual.  I suspect there is a bad template edit that is causing the issue.

Ok, thanks

CPU

I figured it was a moderator privilege because I was also unable to ignore the signature (I ignore most, especially if > 1 line of text) but I'd hit ignore on that one, and it would always come back.  Once I realized what it was though, I didn't want to cause a fuss.
