Is this done dynamically or are there multiple predeined character definitions just ready to be copied where needed? dynamicly set are those soft sprites… the char data is pre rotated means 16 angles x 64 bytes = 1 kb per char x 26 = 26 kb total… no double buffering… 10 chars on screen = 120 chars of the 128… unrolled code for setting each char and copy data into it… can be optimised more to be honest but I run out of time… the one in Joyride has more angles but smaller chars. (BTW, the rotating font one in Joyride was a C64 conversion, the PM DYCP was my own. I was looking at the SVSE22 vid on Atarionline.pl and saw the GFX compo pics (see vid below). I am hoping at some stage they'll be available as XEX files.
