In the book listing there are five game titles, but I've never heard of them and neither has Google! "Game of Ball, Wall Breaker, Invaders, The Lost Kingdom, and Diamond Craze." Are these new unreleased games? - James Thank you! All of these games have been expressly written from zero for the book. The first three are remakes of already known games (i.e. Pong, Breakout, and Space Invaders), but are required for learning purposes. The Lost Kingdom is a kind of Adventure game designed differently (I've rethought it many times so it can be easily modified by readers as the basis for other games), and I've just published Diamond Craze in this forum. I wanted to put even more games in the book, but I realized that if you are learning then it would be overwhelming for the reader, and already it was running to 340 pages! It is a thick book!
+Karl G
Excellent! I will definitely have to pick up a copy. I might prefer a paper copy, but just in case, in what format is the eBook?

It is directed at beginners and it is self-contained to avoid referring outside the book. If you have a basic understanding of the command-line, binary and hexadecimal it will work for you.

+Karl G
I ended up ordering the paperback as well. Having a hard copy for reference books tends to work out better for me. I'm looking forward to reading it!

Yes, indeed the hardcover version is easier for reference because it can stand open. 10 minutes ago, KaeruYojimbo said: That's exactly how much understanding I have of those things. Dionoid
Received my copy today! I quickly scanned through it, and it seems like a well-balanced mix of code, pictures, background information and technical documentation. As soon as I'm done fixing up my OutRun arcade cabinet, I'll read this book cover to cover. 3
