Help researching a YouTube video on the Astrocade

Hi. I am making a series of videos on the value of classic video game libraries over the last 20 years.

I have already completed 3 and I have received some feedback from forum members that some of my data was not as accurate as it could have been. In the interest of improving this I wanted to share my current numbers here and get feedback from the collectors on the Astrocade Forum. My numbers are based on the Price Guide included in Billy Galaxy's book Collecting Classic video games. It was my belief that using these as my source of truth would avoid anyone arguing over the validity of these numbers, but that has not been the case. So, I'd like for you to take a look at what I have so far and, if you're interested, give me some feedback BEFORE I spend 20 hours making an Astrocade video. Here are the numbers.  This list is ranked by the games that had the largest change in value over time. It is not sorted by rarity. I want to include rarity for context, but it is not a list of "most rare games":

Title CIB Price 2002 CIB Price August 2022 Percentage increase Rarity
Ms Candyman $90.00 $615.03 583.37%
Space Invaders $20.00 $85.38 326.90%
Treasure Cove $85.00 $299.99 252.93%
Muncher $65.00 $200.53 208.51%
Sea Devil $105.00 $274.21 161.15%
BioRythm $30.00 $60.50 101.67%
Blast Droids $85.00 $169.20 99.06%
Sea Wolf $20.00 $36.14 80.70%
Pirates Chase $20.00 $33.00 65.00%
Solar Conqueror $30.00 $44.97 49.90%
Baseball & Tennis & Hockey & Handball $20.00 $28.54 42.70%
Clowns & Brickyard $20.00 $27.24 36.20%
Panzer Attack & Red Baron $20.00 $24.70 23.50%
Artillery Duel $20.00 $22.00 10.00%
Cosmic Raiders $45.00 $45.61 1.36%
Galactic Invasion $20.00 $20.00 0.00%
280 Zzzap $20.00 $19.99 -0.05%
Star Battle $25.00 $21.99 -12.04%
Grand Prix $25.00 $18.75 -25.00%
Space Fortress $20.00 $14.99 -25.05%
Amazing Maze $20.00 $14.88 -25.60%
Dog Patch $27.00 $19.95 -26.11%
Astro Battle $25.00 $17.99 -28.04%
Incredible Wizard $30.00 $21.17 -29.43%
BASIC $75.00 $28.50 -62.00%

Here is a link to a google sheet with these numbers. If you're interested please leave me comments on any errors, discrepancies or inaccuracies and I will take that into consideration when working on the video.

Thank you.

Odd choice of words. Your data is accurate (I assume), to the price guide in that book. The issue is that the proce guide is inaccurate. I personally prefer a site like Pricecharting, since it supposedly tracks the actual sold listings on Ebay. It isnt perfect,  but should give a decent approximation. With games for the Bally Astrocade though, most games have about 1-3 sales per year, so not many datapoints.

Another possibility is to just look at current Ebay,  Amazon, etc. Buy-It-Now prices. Clearly the auction price would be less than those prices, or at least that is the max price.

Thanks for the advice. As it happens the fact that I was using price charting was a big reason that they were criticizing me. At any rate, what I wanted to look at was how the price has changed over the last 20 years. Price charting doesn't go back that far. I am using it for my 2022 pricing. Do you have any suggestions where I could find historical data for the astrocade that wont be considered wildly inaccurate by serious collectors? I apprecaite you taking the time to comment.
