MPipesss
I was given a CoCo 2 recently and have been trying to set it up. I know that the computer itself must be working because MOTOR ON and MOTOR OFF click the relay. However, I am only getting a mess of white lines on my TV. Channels 3 and 4 look the same. My output setup currently is an RCA cable running from the CoCo's "To TV" jack and through an RCA to Coax adapter into my old TV's UHF/VHF coaxial antenna port. I'm not sure what's going on. I am tempted to blame the internal modulator, which does not have a channel switch despite there being a slot for it in the case. The modulator board says it's from 1983 and is undamaged so I would assume it is supposed to be like this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! MPipesss
For further context, my CoCo 2 is a model 26-3128 with 64K memory.
MrDave
First make sure your coco is powered on when you scan your channels. .,it should pop up on ch 3 or 4.. go ahead and fiddle with the adjustments in the rf section see if it helps.. MPipesss
SOLVED: this particular model CoCo (26-3128) has a mono composite output instead of an RF output.
MrDave
I was going to suggest if its modded.. so where is your sound ? Edited September 7, 2022 by MrDave
MPipesss
I'm running a 3.5mm aux cable (i.e. headphone jack connector) from the CoCo's output into a 3.5mm A/V input jack which gives me both video and sound together. I dont think it's a mod unless you mean modded by Tandy in the factory.
R.Cade
So it's not a CoCo, but a MoCo...

My High School had a about a dozen Cocos (I, II, and even a few IIIs) back in the 1980s. The Coco I and II used cheap colour TVs as monitors; only the Coco III used a proper monitor. Had a version been available that output composite it would have been much better than the lousy TVs. The local education sales rep must have been unaware of this model (or it was unavailable) or he would have pushed it.
