phuzaxeman
I am a musician/producer with no atari programming skills. I was curious if I created music using software like the Antic Music Processor (or something similar), can the music be saved from the program and used for another game? I've always wanted to create music on the 8bit wanted to create music for future atari titles. Maybe a midi converter option? Thanks for taking the time to read. Synthpopalooza
Thats an old one! I did music on that back in the 80's, mostly Depeche Mode covers lol. Did a killer version of "Enjoy the Silence" You could do an SAP-R from it in the emulator but I don't know what that would get you ...
Synthpopalooza
Antic Music Processor was published in an issue of the old Antic magazine back in the day ... https://www.atarimagazines.com/v7n8/music.html Basically uses $Ax distortion for all notes above B2, and $Cx mod 3 distortion for all notes below, with the gritty tones taking over below G2. rdefabri
I think RMT would be the way to go. I'm someone that has played and created music for 30 years, RMT is pretty simple to get up to speed once you understand the basic nuances. I was able to create some songs almost immediately after some playing around with the application. Good luck - always good to see people creating things with mature technologies. I've been amazed at how much development people have put into the Atari and what they've been able to accomplish!
