666Venger666
Has anyone done this? I recently broke one of my A2M6021 monitors and it got me thinking about building a modern cpu stuffed inside the Apple ][ case. I think I would need to shave down the monitor case to accommodate a flat screen. Anybody seen anything like this in the wilds?
magnusfalkirk
So are you talking about putting a modern version of the Apple II in the case or are you talking about putting a Macintosh in an Apple II case?

magnusfalkirk
So turning an Apple II into a stealth Macintosh. Now my only other question is, will you have Virtual II installed in the Mini so that sometimes it looks like you're actually using an Apple II? Baldrick
Seems like a trivial affair to shove a Mac Mini into an Apple IIe case. The hard part is designing an adapter to convert the Apple IIe (or II+) keyboard (which are completely different from each other) into a USB interface and map some of the keyboard's keys to the Mac's special functions.
666Venger666
Yeah it was just a passing thought. Getting the keyboard to work wouldn't be that hard at all. But the end it would just be a pointless exercise.
Baldrick
Not really...there are lots of project videos on Youtube and some on Instructables that have projects like that - an M1 Mac Mini inside a classic Mac case, even using the classic Mac's CRT and keyboard, as a "for instance".
