Jasonhrb Posted October 20, 2022 Share Posted October 20, 2022 Some great games this week. Gremlins is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. It's a game that I know isn't paticularly well regarded, but I really enjoy it. I'm not sure why, I just really like it. As for Alien, it perhaps shows that Spielberg was right when he suggested that Howard scott Warsharw should have "made something like Pac Man" for ET (although personally I think Frogger would have been the better arcade starting point for an ET game. . . . .cross one set of obstacles collecting phone pieces as you do, followed by a "call zone" appearing a bit like the lady frog in frogger, and then reaching the "home base" which would be the spaceshi pickup). This is a simple but fun game, and is imho far more fun than either ET, or 2600 Pac Man. Really enjoy room of doom too. A simple premise done well, and the difficulty ramps up nicely as you go. I'll enjoy playing all three of these over the next couple of weeks. Anyway, that's enough of me boring everyone. fakecortex Posted October 26, 2022 Share Posted October 26, 2022 I love the part in Gremlins where the mogwais were jumping off the roof to get burgers and Billy had to catch them. It’s a neat game that begs to be a paddle game. I like that there are two different screens, but the speed increase on the first one and the shots misaligning on the second one keep getting me, and I bet a paddle would make the gameplay a lot smoother. Gremlins - 56,050 I love the part in Alien when... 😝 Half-decent Pac-clone, but dear lord that Freeway screen won’t let me past the first row lol. The flamethrower is neat.
