Were there games that actually benefitted from Adams hardware that couldn't play on a Colecovision?

The Coleco ADAM standalone or as an add-on, definitely should in theory be able to provide gaming software the Colecovision could not handle, or would have to at least be reduced in order to play on the CV.

But every game on the ADAM I know of looks like it could play on a CV, or even got a later CV cartridge release (Alcazar for example) afterward.

Was there any gaming software that benefitted from the enhancements brought by the ADAM that couldn't run on the CV? Including original games and homebrews.

Any game that was over 32K or required more than 1K of RAM to store game data was not playable on the ColecoVision until the advent some 10-15 years ago of the MegaCart Bank Switching Cartridge PCB and the Opcode SGM.

With that said, all the the Coleco released game software for the ADAM could never have been ported to the CV easily and would have required a rewrite or large modifications to the original code. Well, except for “The Best of Brøderbund: A.E. and Choplifter” which were actually cartridge code with additional title screens and menus added.

Aside from the additional RAM that the ADAM provided programmers, ADAM games could be as large as the programmer wanted or company allowed using one data pack (256K), disk (160K) or multiple data packs or disks.

Don’t forget, the ADAM is a CV at heart and uses the same Z80 Processor, VDP, Sound Chip, etc.
