Level 4 x 30 = 120

 

My problem on level 4 is that hiding doesn't work.  It seems you MUST kill the destroyer on the surface.  Every time I dive and go silent, their depth charges still get me.  Any tips from the experts on this?

If depth charges are hitting you, move somewhere else.

It’s not that you “must” hit the destroyer. It’s that it “really helps your cause”. And if you realize that you won’t down a destroyer, the safe move is to dive. You can risk trying to find another destroyer, or down a carrier but it may cost you a sub.

 

There’s only so many chances the game gives you to clear a fleet (before it reaches England). Usually risk/reward comes into play. Trying to hit an extra sub will eventually cost you a sub. Possibly like you’re saying… the first time you miss a destroyer! But I think that’s a bad-luck scenario. Usually you’re not out from one hit just because you miss a destroyer…. UNLESS you turned off your sonar too late. If you turn it off too late on level 5, guaranteed you just lost a sub. No evasion technique will save you. 
 

Then again, what do I know?  I’m watching Netflix with the Mrs. 🧜🏻‍♀️ !!!
