adam242
While going through a box of old comic books from my childhood the other day, I discovered some Atari and Atari-related ads I though I'd share. Was particularly surprised by/ impressed with the Parker Brothers ad singling out Atari computers. Anyone interested in properly scanning and archiving these please PM me. Justin Payne
The Parker Bros and Montezuma's Revenge have already been archived over on AtariMania but I didn't find the AtariSoft and Mario Bros on there. I did find them online but probably not scanned at the resolution that AtariMania scanned them at and they should be added to that. Did you trying reaching out to team@atarimania.com and asking if they're interested in scanning in those two? I have a scanner but they're probably the better ones to contact. Mclaneinc
And let's not forget that Atari actually also had their own comic called Atari Force published by DC comics.. (it wasn't very good to be fair) Just incase anyone is interested.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_Force Edited October 31, 2022 by Mclaneinc 2

Mclaneinc
I was a huge comics fan from the early 70's, anything Marvel and DC, I still have a nice mini collection of real comic and a huge collection of digital comics. As a kid I read the UK comics like the Beano and Dandy etc. Oddly enough I never saw the Atari comic, it was only when I was collecting digital one's that I saw the 5 issues..
Gunstar
I discovered those as digital scan ads on the net myself and they are a part of my desktop wallpaper slide show. Except for the Mario Bros. and Atarisoft ones, but I do remember seeing the Mario one in comics as a kid, now that I've seen it again here. Lastic
Another fact that I never realized as a kid, here in Belgium, if you bought a comic in a local newspaper store, it was a reprinted version in Dutch. Also these reprints would combine 2 or 3 issues into 1 Dutch issue. Years later when I discovered a real comic store in my local town, I realised how thin the original US comics were since for example the 2nd storyline of Atari Force ran for 20 issues in the US /Original version but the Dutch reprint only ran for 10 issues since each issue combined 2 US issues. Today I unpacked boxes and found them , they are now in my book closet on display. I just found and ordered my missing Dutch issues 5-10 from a second-hand Dutch comic-store, a nice way down memory-lane
