Game Setting

PRESS ONE

 

 

Game Objective

With your laser lariat shoot every-thing you can - White Enemy Saucers; Brown Space Debris; Yellow Chirper Ships; Green Blocker Ships; Green Bounce Crafts; Blue Chargers; Orange Trackers and Red Zig Bombs. Some of these things are vulnerable to the laser lariat and some are not. However, fear not as you also have 3 torpedoes in your arsenal, these destroy everything in their path. You get 3 torpedoes per Sector Round. At the end of each Round you will face off against the Sector Sentinel BOSS. Shoot him with a torpedo for many bonus points. Finally usually in each Sector Round you are playing a Yellow Rejuvenator will be sent down the line to you. DO NOT shoot this rather let it go down to your laser lariat. Each time you successfully do this you will gain an extra chance. This is the ONLY thing that can touch you, everything else will cause you to lose a chance if touched. Pay close attention to everything that's going on, shoot, dodge, torpedo and hope for the best. Score as many points as you can in the process. 

 

 

Game Scoring - BUDDY SYSTEM

All players involved in this round will be using the BUDDY SYSTEM for scoring. The top scoring player for the round will be teamed up with the lowest scoring player in the round. The 2nd highest scoring player will be teamed up with the 2nd lowest scoring player. The 3rd highest scoring player will be teamed up with the 3rd lowest scoring player and so on down the line. This is a TEAM CONTEST. You will not know for sure who your partner is until the contest is over. 

 

Game Scoring Points

+10 pts [1st place team], +9 pts [2nd place team], +8 pts [3rd place team], +7 pts [4th place team] down to +1 pt for the lowest scoring team (10th place thru 25th place). Both players will receive the same amount of team points. So the best scoring team will both receive 10 points each and the next highest scoring team gets 9 points each, etc. If at the end of the contest there is an odd number of total players then that one player in the middle will be considered 'the loner' and this player will receive +5 points. If you are lucky enough to be paired with a player who breaks the HSC record then both players will get +3 additional points. [+2 Game Winner Incentive].

 

A SCORE OF ZERO POINTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS CONTEST!!!

I missed a lot of opportunities for the bonus and ended up with 54,480

 

I'm pretty sure that I've scored over 70k before, so my personal goal will be 75k.  I think I can do it if I just get better at the bonus.

Christian Dallari on Twin Galaxies got to Sector 99 on a PAL system and Sector 77 on an NTSC system. I think 99 is the last Sector and then the game doesn't get any harder from that point.
