vieiraandre
Greetings. The last AFB able to output to CRT 480i was AFB8. AFB10 uses Stella? Can be configured out to 4:3 output (of course, using a HDMI to Component or composite converter)? Thanks ps: is there some way to add more games on AFB8? Atariboy
There was a composite Atari Flashback 9 and was sold at Family Dollar. Is the same emulator and hardware as the Atari Flashback 7, but like the Atari Flashback Portable (And the HD AF9), could have additional games added via SD card. The HDMI version of the Atari Flashback 9, the Atari Flashback X, and the newest one all use an old version of Stella and are 720p HDMI devices. They output a pillarboxed 4:3 picture in a 720p 16:9 frame and don't have full screen 4:3 support. CapitanClassic
I don’t believe the Atari Flashback 8 is hackable, but the AFB8 Gold is. The same hack that was used for the Android based Genesis Flashback HD also works on the AFB8 Gold, because the motherboard has traces for connecting a USB. It does require some soldering (and destroying a USB cable)
