Mockduck
The Onyx base without controllers is $200. Now that Black Friday sales are done (All-in was at $239), Atari has brought the MSRP down to $300 from $399. Definitely more in line with other gaming competitors. Seems like a pretty good deal to me, basically the same price as the IndieGoGo, and probably what it should have been from day one. Who knows what would have happened had it launched at $300, maybe nothing, maybe not. Not like anyone ever paid that price for one, I don't know of a single VCS owner who paid more than $250 for one outside of initial backers, who paid $320 after tax and shipping. Unfortunately. $300 is probably too high for late 2022 as well. It's a great little mini gaming PC that is also a nice retro-friendly console, but retail price was always just a bit too expensive for the value delivered.
The Helper
IMHO 299 or 300 as it is should have been the price from the start. The 399 was just crazy.
