Too much to ask for Kodi support on Atari VCS 800?

Hi Guys I See Plex on the home screen avaliable for the VCS so why no KODI support. 

I do prefer Kodi over Plex. and kodi is supported on the nvidia shield and other streaming platforms can even put it on a Amazon fire stick.

Doable.  I haven't used Kodi in years but there will be Linux distros that boot into it.  They will run off USB just fine.

I have Kodi running under PC Mode,  but there should be USB images where you just plug in the USB stick turn it on and it boots into Kodi.

yes i can create a bootable linux USB to do this but i want direct support from the home screen just like how plex is an app inside the VCS

As far as I am aware, the VCS OS just uses the .desktop format for its launchers, like any Linux Distro does.  So in theory you could get a debian package of Kodi and install it with a custom launcher, look for one of the threads here about adding 7800 and DOS games to the VCS, it has some hints.
