mutantcamel1979
So I have acquired a great Quick Disk for the TI74. It works fine using device "8", the same as the CC40. I thought I would try plug the homemade adapter I have which allows me to use the PC Interface with the CC40 with the Quick Disk! No surprise, it doesn't work. Obviously not just a case of using a Dockbus to Hexbus adapter. The CC40 Quick Disk must have software in it, that the TI-74 version doesn't have! Pity Really. +acadiel
The Hexbus/Dockbus protocol is the same, and should be 100% cross compatible. Make sure you double check the pinout of your adapter.

Looks like my adapter just needs the 2 wires for the battery terminal re-soldering. If not I will buy your adapter!
mutantcamel1979
After several attempts of trying to fix my adapter, I can't get it to work and I am looking to buy an hexbus to dockbus adapter. For the TI74 Quickdisk to work on my CC40...Would I simply plug an hexbus cable into my CC40, insert the other end straight into the pins of the adapter and then insert the adapter's dockbus pins directly into the dockbus plug of the Quickdisk? On another thread there was mention of using a dupont cable, but I can't see the need for one.
