cpl_klinger
I wasn't sure where to ask this question, I use the XG1 lightgun with the 2600, so I thought I'd start here. I'm trying to troubleshoot why my lightgun doesn't work anymore. I've tried it across 3 different 2600s and a 7800, with the same result (no flash on the screen, no response at all). I've verified that all 4 wires from the console connector to the PCB board have continuity. I've also verified I have 5 volts at the board. I've checked the trigger switch and that seems fine (has 5 volts and reacts just light my other lightgun when I pull the trigger). The main capacitor on the board also has 5v. Sorry for the long post. I've searched but couldn't find any help. Anyone have ideas?
Thomas Jentzsch
Are you using a CRT? Lightguns do not work with modern TVs.

I have an old commodore monitor that I use as my go-to for these. Works great with duck hunt and the like.
