I ordered an amiga 1080 monitor for 50 bucks. I couldn't resist, but it has to travel from Canada to Florida so I wasted the discount on 6 inches of padding and a double box. So now I have to lose sleep hoping against disaster. Anyone else ever regret buying something because they were worried it would die on the way?

 

And because when it rains it pours, I found a good deal on a dual PAL/NTSC JVC monitor with composite and s-video that has speakers. This one came with ebays insurance for repairs. They are going to regret giving me that one for 12 bucks,  I'm going to get that baby recapped 😉

Yes, I stopped trying to buy CRTs on eBay after having 3 in a row being destroyed in shipping. Now I’d only considered buying one if I can drive there and pick it up.

Mine was a seller on one of my Facebook groups selling his late father's beloved amiga instead of taking it to a recycling center. Since he was practically donating his monitor I spent a good 150 on shipping.
