ICD AdSCSI Micro interface remake progress

Hi,

At start of New Year...

I present a piece of old hardware for the Atari Mega ST, acquired for hard money.

It is very, very rare and I don't know what real value it represents. I bought on Ebay a version built on AMD PALCE16V8 chips, and "accidentally" on the forum I came across a man from Canada - DIGITALMAN who had a version built on ST-made GAL16V8 chips. After exchanging correspondence and determining the details, we exchanged the owned copies. The whole exchange took about 5 months (because the post office screwed up again...).

So far I have reproduced the diagram. Still left to recover configuration data of 3 GAL16V8 protected chips. When I finish work on AdSCSI Plus - I will certainly work on this interface :) I do not guarantee success, but I hope to be able to reproduce one more famous interface for Atari....

I had one of those and sold it on Ebay last year, mine looks like it used different chips to yours.

I still use the one for external drives, I got them both back in the 90's as a package, initially

using it with an OMTI SCSI interface and Syquest 10MB removable drive (that I still have).

UPDATE

Hi,

I would like to inform you that I managed to reproduce the contents of three GAL16V8 secured chips, so soon - after checking the correctness of the schematics and firmware - documentation should appear on my site.

Regards

Hi,

The project has been completed. ICD AdSCSI Micro interface has been restored and works 100% like the original :) Feel free to visit my website. The site is in Polish - so please use, for example, Google Translate.
As always, documentation is available for free.

Best regards
tOri
