Sillyventure 2023WE resulted in 2 new games and another Montezuma 2 level disc.

My game for all 16kB A8 can be found here: https://forums.atariage.com/topic/358079-sv23we-releases/

Thanks for the heads up! Just catching up on all the new releases after a busy week. 🙂

Ah. Just seen, that MyJewels is included in your post before mine as wip... This version is final for 16kB. Enhanced MyJewels' will be released for all machines with more RAM in near future.

You bet, I'll move it to completed on the list. 🙂  Thanks for the info!

ALERT!

We are just under two weeks away from the end of the year, which is the cut off for eligibility for the 6th Annual Atari Homebrew Awards. If there are any games missing from this list that have been updated or released in 2023 or have errors/omissions in their current listing, please comment below with links to the information about the game. Thank you so much!

Hello!

I have seen that "Der Schränker" and "Der Schränker 3" are declared as WIP. The games are finished and will not be changed unless an bug is found.

Greetings
Janko

Perfect, thank you for the updated info! I also just saw your update to Der Schräenker so I've updated the link to the new binary for A8/5200.

😁

Not been this excited about a platform puzzler A8 game since the excellent Flob came out. :)

Thank you for the heads up on this one, very unique looking platformer! I've added it to the list and will definitely be playing it on the show soon.

Great. As per the thread Mq will be releasing an English language version shortly, so it might be worth holding fire showcasing it until that version is out. :)

I agree, not seen anything like it on the A8.

Edit: Mq has now released the English language version, and game is ready to play. Nice one Mq!! :)

Have fun! :)

AFAIK the game is not confirmed as completed, even though we have had a playable release.

Whilst Retronics have clearly made available a disk version in mid Dec for the version of doom released at the time, if you look at this article published on the 31st it's clear work is still ongoing:https://retroage.net/doom-po-raz-drugi/

For example here you can see on screen weapons are being added:

...and to quote:

So I'd say it's definitely still a wip rather than confirmed completed. :)

Thank you for the additional info! The physical release of the game really threw me off and made me assume the game was completed. I've moved it back to WIP status.

James, I don't quite understand why every year so many finished games are in "WIP" category on your list, maybe the creators just don't read this thread or they don't realise that a game in such status would be ignored in the competition.

And in some cases it's quite clear that a new version is not planned:

For example "Night Knight" - @LarsImNetz wrote in April here on AAge: "The game is finished. I submitted it to the ABBUC Contest 2023" and later he published the ABBUC version...

@amarok has recently published a "making of" video for Time Wizard. I think there won't be a new version created.

Also 99% of 256 byte games are not developed further after the demoparty they were presented ;)
