shaggyneo
My Amiga CD32 just quit fully powering on. I was playing Chaos Engine and it loaded a level with garbled graphics so I reset it. The power light comes on but it is really dim and no sound or picture. I have recapped it with ceramic caps and replaced the u14 voltage detector with no change. I have the original power supply and a new replacement unit I got from Germany and both have the same result. Does anyone have any ideas of what to try next or a place I can send it for repair? I appreciate any help. Thanks.
larrylaffer
I would keep it simple to start with and just test the power supply to make sure I get good DC power. If I remember correctly the PSU provides +5 and +12 V DC.
shaggyneo
Power output on the psu's checks out. It's really driving me crazy.
+OLD CS1
I am in the same boat. I was playing one night and the system just died. I thought I over-drew my power supply, but it checks out, as well. Never got around to troubleshooting. Good luck.
shaggyneo
I appreciate the answers. I'm just going to ebay it for parts. I just don't have the free time to try to figure it out.
